my friend and I are having a debate.
He chooses queen.
but i think bowie is much more better.

Queen were unrivalled in their era. David Bowie is a good artist, for sure, but Queen are truly one of the few bands that everyone in the world knows. They have achieved real legendary status, and will never be overlooked when remembering great music of the past. Add to that Freddie Mercury had the best voice in the history of rock music, and there's no contest.

What is the criterion for "better?" If it's albums sold, then Britney Spears is better than both. If it's who can sing higher, than it's Bowie, because Freddie is dead. If it's who plays guitar better,m then Queen, because Bowie only knows some chords. And so on. By now, with any luck, you have already realized how stupid this question is, and you and your friend will grow up a bit by knowing that you can't compare musicians in terms of "who's better."
See the sucker above? He thinks singing is the only important thing. Duhhhh.... What about "Freddie had nothing on Bowie's acting, or songs," or "Freddie's got nothing on Bowie who is still alive...?"
By the way, is "wipped" an English word?

queen is much better. bowie doesn't have anything on freddy mercury's amazing voice.
The guy below me is an idiot. Bowie's acting involved blowing off other men. At least Freddie was slightly more subtle.
I could never stand David Bowie - Queen had better guitar, singing, and songwriting. Bowie did have creativity, but that really doesn't go far when your voice sounds like a horse.

Daivd Bowie has released 24 studio albums
and has won 3 awards, he has been referenced in pop culture 39 times, that I know of.
Queen has had 15 stuido albums. Has had around 50 awards. And have been a influence to many bands/artist.
Personally...I love David Bowie.

I personally find that Queen is more entertaining to listen to....Bowie has the edge in terms of songwriting, though

Bowie, by far. He's got class, has written a string of great songs, and he's still alive.
