My canon i950 printer prints fine on 8 x 11 paper but not on 4 x 6 paper, why ?

I reinstalled the software but didnt help

Canons aren't too good at printing 4 by 6 photos on glossy paper. I had a Canon printer, too, and if you took your finger, and rubbed it on the ink, it would smear. And this was on regular paper too, so printing on glossy paper is out of the question. I purchased an Epson multi-function scanner/printer that prints 4 by 6's and it works great. Ditch Canon, go with Epson.

Did you go into printer preference and change it there?
