?Why believe?

Why do ppl believe in god? Is it just out of fear from going to hell? If you want to worship something you can worship me I am real and I'll only take 5% of your check not 10%

Sure why not be the one. I am sure you could do just as good a job as any of the invisible gods do.

Just look at all the hate and fear around the world. Yes that is a direct result of religion.

It seems like most people have this need for something other than themselves to give their life meaning. Ignorance is the word for that.

People also have this need to be able to blame everything negative on. It was gods will, is used a lot. God had a plan is another. Weak minded people. \

There are other reasons as well. They all follow the same line of thught.

If you truely know who you are and can accept yourself as you are then you have the ability to be what you want to be and will not have the need for some artifisial support. Alcohol is another god for many. Mind altering drugs are another. So many choices and most make the wrong ones.

I am a diagnosed psychotic with an IQ of 140 and I remember many past lives, have lot of paranormal ability, communicate with other beings, etc. Everything in the universe flows from one source. This is not my belief or theory. It is how I experience every moment, like you breathe air, see the blue sky and green grass, etc. That source has an intelligence and a personality. People call it God because they don't know what else to call it. You don't believe in God because you are a blind little animal that doesn't know any better and can't experience the flow from that source, can't see anything before your birth, beyond your death, or outside of your empty little life in your 3 dimensional experience of the human realm on this planet. You're not smart and enlightened. You're a blind animal. A little knowledge about what happens on the astral plane does not make you all knowing of all existence.

People believe in God because He exists.

Go find a quiet spot alone. Sit quietly and listen. Suspend all your disbelief, sarcasm and negative feelings and just let thoughts come to you- you might be surprised by what happens.

GOD, our CREATOR is very much REAL! There is a wealth of supporting help for you to understand by reading the KING JAMES BIBLE. And by the way, JESUS is free (and GOD). One can tithe however it is NOT required for your belief in GOD.
Jesus died for our sins and there was and is no monetary value in that. HE gives freely of HIMSELF. Accept and you will believe. GOD knows your true heart and only you and HE know that.

G-D is spelled with a big "G" and you know what, your one of those people that are easily influenced by what everyone (science) else says. They haven't been able to prove that he doesn't exist just like the aliens!

Haha... my mom says that people with religion live longer happier lives. I think people with intelligence live more interesting lives. Which is more important? (p.s. I do believe in God)

this is why... if you believe in god but it turns out he does not exist, no harm no foul. But if you don't believe and he does exist, you are SO screwed. Not my personal belief, but a reason none-the-less
