I will be traveling down to Mission Texas to do some work for my company and I have never been down there before. I am unfamiliar with this area, and me and my coworkers were wondering if we have to go thru a border patrol checkpoint leaving Mission Texas heading to Corpus Christi and Padre Island? I sure would appreciate any info anybody could give me.

I live in Texas, and the only border checkpoints are on the border, as far as I know. If I can remember , mission is not a border town, and, as populated as Corpus is, I would not anticipate it. I would not worry about checkpoints, unless youe business here is illegal, And with that, Texas has an extensive Highway partol operation, so checkpoints, should not be your main concern. I am not sure why you would be asking this, unless you are concerned with your legalization. The border checkpoints are there to attempt to keep people from entering the U.S illegally, so unless this applies to you or youe co workers, I would not worry.

There is a secondary checkpoint on US 281 a little south of Falfurrias where they have all vehicle stop for a quick check on people's ID. Trucks & buses have more extensive checks. I passed through there many times on my way back to Houston from visiting in McAllen. I agree with King Trey, as long as you have your valid driver licenses for you & your co-workers, there should be nothing to worry about.

Watch it if you are doing something illegal, it will look suspicious to the police.
