the movie is based on fictional comic its not the real history the hairy is wa diffrent 300 sparta men did NOT take over 1million me nit was 6000 persians some true fact's about sparta and there soilder's

In Sparta (a Greek city-state) boys were taken from their mothers at age seven to live with other boys and begin their military training. At age 12 they were paired with an older single man (22-25 years old) who became their teacher, mentor and lover. The problem the Spartans had was when it came time for men to be married they didn't want to leave their male partners.

To make it easier for her husband to have sex with her on their wedding night the bride would shave her head and wear the clothes of a young boy. Her husband would leave his male lover, come to be with his wife, and then return to his male lover. Some men only took a couple of days before they moved in with their wife, but others took years or never made the transition to normal sexual relations.

The ancient Greeks were more familiar with long term homosexual relationships than we are today. So the argument that things have changed, and homosexuality as it exists today is a new thing, has no historical basis in fact.

Homosexuality has always existed in all cultures throughout time. Homosexuality was a normal and accepted practice in Greek culture for hundreds of years. If God was waiting until there was a culture that accepted homosexuality before revealing that homsexuality was acceptable, ancient Greece was the time and place to do it.

here's some paintings that has been found all over sparta and greec http://www.geocities.com/ardelyan/homo.htm

I think it looks great--but I'm a Frank Miller (Sin City) fan. It does look like almost pure action, but I dig how it's highly stylized and the idea of it in general. I'm planning on seeing it tomorrow, and I rarely see movies in theaters.

Any movie that uses blood splatter as an accent in the advertising gets a big "I'll pass" from me.

I don't like exessively violent films.

It depends if you're the type of girl that loves guy-movies. Notice I said, "loves"...not just "likes". You gotta LOVE guy-movies to enjoy this. This is the ultimate guy film.

Also, if you like extremely ripped guys; you'd like to too.
