I doubt I will earn the 10 points, but have you considered if it is legal?
Copyright laws can be sensitive issues--especially at some universities.
If you are legal, then I say show it. College students need exposure to all ideas.

I've been wanting to see the movie myself! College kids ought to be able to tell the difference between straight up facts and slanted viewpoints. If not, it's your job to help them along. That's all part of college. Supporting your opinions with facts is something you should technically be learning how to do in high school. I think it's completely appropriate. Just be sure to tell them beforehand that it contains views not necessarily expressed by the school or you (just like the disclaimer before movies) and then have a really killer debate about everything afterwords. Have fun!

It was a highly interesting documentary in my opinion, and that putting down of GM and the government are opinions with a solid basis. I believe it would be a great movie for your seminar, it is defiantly related to pollution as the EV's where indeed lacking any type of harmful emissions, etc. Plus as I said, it is a good movie in itself.

Oh, when I first thought to answer this question, I thought you meant high school. In college, people should be exposed to all sorts of ideas. I think it would be entirerly appropiate. Especially since students taking "Global Warming" would expect films like this, I'd imagine. I mean, they showed it on Comcast On Demand!

if you want strictly something about global warming it's a good movie, but if it doesn't matter try IMAX's ,,What the bleep do we know? Best movie ever...it tells about life...God...time travel....very educational

Do you teach your students to critically think about the global warming claims? That the earth has had glacial periods and periods of heating long before man became a factor?
Aw, show 'em 'Chinatown', instead.

??? They're college students; adults.
Why not?
They are supposed to have minds of their own, aren't they?
Have them discuss it.
