Get a Haynes Repair Manual at the local Auto Zone or auto parts store in your area. It will troubleshoot and show you how to fix your vehicle. Also on the Auto Zone site has a section for vehicle maintenance.
Check it out for you car at the site.

Also I would need more info. Like when you turn the key on do the lights turn on, does it click, or when you turn the key nothing happens but the battery is charged. A 1000 questions. But anyway, buy the book or go to the site.

I own a '68 and a 65. There are any number of things that will cause them not to start. Is it turning over? Is the carb getting gas? Are you getting fire to the plugs? Those are the first questions you need to answer. As to a repair manual, if you go to www.vamustang.com or www.texasmustang.com you can purchase the FORD shop manual for the car which is better and more complete than any after market repair manual you'll find for it. If you need help on it email me: manchacar@yahoo.com.

You will need a voltmeter to check the volts at the starter solenoid and starter connections to see if you have power to it. The starter Bendix could actually be stuck on the flywheel. If you don't have power to the starter it could be a bad ignition switch too. If this is an automatic, it could be a bad neutral start safety switch.

need more info. is it turning over? does it crank but just not fire?
are you getting fuel? spark? if it's not even turning over, first, check your battery cable connections. try it again. hear a big "click" under the hood? no? starter solenoid is bad. yes? get your starter tested at autozone. they'll do it for free.
