well first off, dont take either one until you know for sure that you are pregnant, until then, you need to take tylenol (plain) to bring the fever down (if you have one, usually comes with an infection). thats the only thing that is safe for a pregnant women to take for pain and fever. and it would help to know the name of the antibiotic.. if its a first line antibiotic (amoxicillin, penicillin, cephalexin) its usually ok to take, but check to see if you're pregnant.

Ask the Dr. if the antibiotics are a kind that is safe to take while pregnant, and instead of taking Motrin take Tylenol. When I found out I was pregnant it was because I had a UTI. I asked the Dr. if the antibiotics would hurt a baby if I was pregnant, so he gave me a pregnancy test, which was positive, and then prescribed me a safer antibiotic.

Take a pregnancy test and if you are pregnant take Tylenol and drink lots of liquids and skip the antibiotics you will get over the cold on your own. If not go back to the doctor but usually antibiotics and not very safe to take during pregnancy.

Call the pharmacy and ask if you should take these pills if you are pregnant-if he says no then call the doc tomorrow and tell him/her that you think you are pregnant and can they give you something else. You should have asked for a pregnancy test when you went in to get the antibiotic.

You should've told him there was a possibility you were pregnant.. he should've asked but most antibiotics are safe in pregnancy, what did he give you? Motrin is fine, too.

None of those should effect your pregnancy. Motrin for sure is no problem look up your antibiotic on webmd.com and look at contraindications see if pregnancy is one of them
