I would like to buy a redtail/ rainbow shark but i don't know what it is that they eat? Do they eat bloodworms, tropical flakes, goldfish flakes or brine shrimp? I'm going to be adding them to a tank of mollies and platies. Plus I have some ghost shrimp with them( they do fine and not food). will that also be okay( the ghost shrimp) or will they eat them? Can someone please give me advice? Thank You !

Do not put the red tail shark with mollies,it will chase it continuously.Platies,...depends.But it will try to have a snack of the shrimp. But if you really intend to buy it,try giving it some veggies, blood worms, etc.Sometimes it won't eat as they also eat algae but does not totally swipe it off.

Anything and everything. Mine would eat a dead fish if i didn't pull it out quickly enough. He LOVED shrimp pellets and spirulina discs too. They aren't picky and if it's edible, it's fine for them. The first one i ever had stayed on a rock that had algae on it and would not leave the rock. It preferred eating the algae than eating all the other things i put in there.

They are scavengers and will eat pretty much anything you feed them. Flake, pellets, frozen foods. So very, very NOT picky lol
