sorry, the word was "Basket Cases" instead of scatterbrained.

I got it from reading this interview:

Actors and actresses are very defensive and protective of their own. They have to be because everybody else essentially uses them for their own ends. So constantly viewing everybody as taking your "job" or "going to rip you off" is bound to take a toll. So being that these "playthings" are very unstable to begin with, it does not take much to reveal their "true colors". They can't very well perform "unhired ", so they are constantly vying for our attention and admiration. Those two items alone are what provide their being. So having to depend on the whim of others is enough to drive a person to the point of insanity.

I'm an actor. In general, it is not nice to generalize about any group of people. It has been done since time immemorial, probably, but leaves you not knowing anything about any group, really, and certainly not any individuals.
As a group, actors are without a doubt the most intelligent people I've known. I say that not because I am one, but I think one reason I wanted to become one was the intelligence of the people in the field. We have 'gone places' that most people are afraid to go, we're pretty well educated, well read, well traveled, and realize that the reality of acting is that the craft is not about WHO, it is about WHAT. Most of the important things in life are always about the WHAT. The message. The story. That's the gift.

We are not scatterbrained, and we're not just sitting around waiting for a job. We're constantly working at our craft; and most actors I know are focused, driven people.

WOW! No offense but where in the world did you ever get that from?

I guess I could ramble on about this, but why?

Anyone on the planet is subject to distractions, and they might be as mundane as forgetting where car keys are to forgetting what day this is.

No. Actors are no more scatterbrained than those of other professions.

Apparently you have no clue how many actors have higher IQ's than the rest of us, me excluded.

I'm an actor and I don't think I'm scatter brained.
