.. and another question, when you told your family had you "experience" or did you tell them before you got involved?

a long time ago I went to a gay bar by myself..this guy picked me up and I spent 2 years with him...after that I was in a 7 year relationship and totally out...now I'm married 20 years and TOTALLY out. Like you reach a point in your life when you don't care what anyone thinks,,,

I tried internet dating nearly 2 years ago and met with some complete psycho woman and thought oh this is great but then i went down to my local pub and met my current girlfriend we started off as just friends but now we've been together for nearly one year.

I found talking and meeting with someone who is gay helped me realise that i'm not the only one...which is the general feeling most gay people go through and after that everything just fell into place when coming to accept your sexuality. I did speak to a counsellor which also helped me to come out and accept it.

Back in MY day.... Online was just the Unix system!

I met my partner via a mutual enemy. (this is our joke-- cuz we both hated the other guy, but he was a very popular gay guy, so we hung around him in college).

Completely accepting my sexuality? Well.. that comes in layers, over time. It's amazing how much internalized junk there is. We both believe in working on yourself, and exploring your thoughts... so it's a constant growth thing.

One thing that helped me in the beginning was to learn about good gay culture-- not just bars and pornos. Reading a lot, joining a local gay community agency. We volunteered for a long time with an AIDS charity that helps sick people take care of their dogs, etc.

But not letting other people define what it means to be gay was important to me. There is a LOT more to us than how we like to screw, and I went on a crash course to learn about myself and "my people's" history. It was just good luck that we ended up in the Bay Area. We even took a Junior College class on Queer Cinema History, which was wonderful.

Sorry to be so long winded.

Well my first relationship was my first female relationship and it was all bad. Lasted 2 years. Im not trying to scare you, just be careful and take advice if you need it. Then I found someone new, she sort of just popped into my life. Actually met her at work. She was my boss :). We hung out especially at starbucks :)...then that was it. 4 years strong!! Trust is needed and plenty of communication. Be confident and if you feel any doubt, move on. You'll find someone that's right for you. Really!!! Are you taking care of yourself? Are you set for yourself and now you just need someone to share it with? Just be good to yourself. online dating thing, its fun but again be careful.

At my interview for my first (and only) job I was asked what my interests were. I said gardening, classical music and Gilbert and Sullivan. I was introduced to Gwenneth B who was glad because the "wild" music phase was starting. We did gardening at each others homes.I was told by her family that my Methodist "sect"was a spawn of Satan and I would burn. Turning a blind eye to that I went out with Gwen and gradually came to appreciate and love her. We decided to buy a house and live together: the best decision of my life. This lasted for 42 years until her tragic death.
Blessings to those who love and" to all those who can remember".*

i outed myself in high school...very loudly and confrontationally...i wanted to cause a scene...and i wanted to make it easier for other guys who got a hard-on thinking about another dudes dick to feel ok to make their pass at me...**** was i surprised...guys who i had never even thought would swing my way approached me...always very slyly and so that no one would ever find out...i kept their secret...my favourite was a guy called Ivan...he was blond and ******* cute...he had a tiny dick though but that didnt bother me...
the other one was Kai...he was in boarding school with me...and we got it on one night when my roomate had gone away for the weekend...we jacked each other off...and then i sucked his dick...the next time, he asked me what it's like sucking a guys dick...and then he sucked me off too...
there was also another younger guy who made playful hints and i played along until he was so horny that he shot his load while i was still rolling his foreskin back...although all these sessions were exciting and horny, they couldnt be called dedicated relationships but they gave me the perfect kind of courage to express myself despite some awesome ******* terror at first...it got easier...

sOur brother waited to let the family know. He brought his friends around who were great decent people. One of them even worked for my dad's mechanic.
I believe it was our bro'd intention to show how gay people are everyday people.
