there is homo sexual activity amongst just about all animals ,as well as fish ,even some insects,
sexuality is the strongest force in nature alog with self preservation ,this is an evolutionary concept that is build in to ensure that the species survives and even cross breeds to addapt to changing environment
so it is easier to try and have sex with anything .that to limit the force to specific gender
a bee will try to mate with a pebble if the queen is indisposed
a fish will asume the markings of a female so that it can swimm through a cloud of sperm(very kinky)
male dogs on top of others
cows jump on top of cows
bulls jump on top of bulls
and dolphins do not like to be left behind in the fun.

Some dolphins exhibit homosexual behavior in the wild. Actually, this can be seen in a lot of different species.
There are some occasions where animals of a particular species seem to prefer others of the same sex all the time or exclusively, but I don't believe this has ever been observed with dolphins.
(So I'd say, NO, they are not gay.)

Homosexuality has been observed in dolphins and in over 400 other species. It is an urban myth that only humans and dolphins have sex for pleasure, just about all animals do. Why else do they have sex? They don't know they are reproducing. If they didn't enjoy it, they wouldn't do it. Bonobos and chimpanzees most certainly have sex for pleasure and many other species do as well.

Regarding the dolphins supposed unique status with humans, believe bonobos do little else but "swing" with everyone around. Hugh Hefner doubtless descended from bonobos.

I have heard of instances of homosexuality in many animals. The inclusion of dolphins is a great victory, considering that they are the only species besides humans who have sex for pleasure

Just the ones with really floppy front flippers. Why? Are you a dolphin? Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Some animals have been proven to be homosexual, but dolphins are not one of them.
Rams have been proven to have homosexual activities.
10% of male rams prefer to have anal sex with other males rather than the normal stuff with females.
