is anna nicole's death getting WAY too much publicity?

don't call me heartless, i do agree this story is tragic. my heart goes out to her family. but anna nicole didn't do anything special to society, didn't benefit people in any way. who agrees that the media is making WAY too big of deal out of the death of a troubled woman who was practically a hooker?

Your not heartless,there was WAY to much publicity. I don't understand why the people or someone who loved her couldn't or didn't see how deeply troubled she was, and tried to get her real help.It is a tragedy.I pray that she rests in peace and that her little one will be loved and nurtured.

The media gives the public what they want & it seems that they want glitz, glam ,scandal & dirt. The dirtier, the better., the more the public craves it & watches . Thus the ratings of these shows go up, the sales of these magazines soar & they make more $$$$. The people complain but they still watch & read. It's human nature to be curious. You are not heartless, you just know when enough is enough. Some people can not make that distinction. They don't have the will power/ I guess that's a lucky thing for the media.

Of course. Anna Nicole Smith was nothing more than a common whore, a tramp without any moral code or standard of conduct. Just like Britney Spears, Tom Cruise, and all the other publicity-seekers, she was a blood-sucker whose outrageous, worthless life shallow Americans feed on, all because they don't have the brains to focus on important things like corruption within our political system, global warming and environmental issues, and world peace. -RKO-

You are right she may be getting to much publicity. But this is the kind of thing people like to watch and hear about. I also think its a sad story with her son's death and her little girl left behind. Not knowing who her daddy is.
