There are many ways you can protect your sport cards. Most card collectors like to insert their cards into "penny" or card sleeves to protect them from smudges and preventing the edges from getting chipped. They're cheap and you can buy a pack of 100 for $1 or less.

For the ultimate protection there are also alternative protective supplies you can use to suit your taste.

- Toploaders - Thick plastic holder that will provide even more protection when penny sleeves won't do.
- Semi-rigid - Card holder that will keep the card protected while providing a very snug fit to prevent the card from falling out.
- 1-screw/4-screw/snap - Two thick plastic plates that form around the card and uses 1-4 screws to encapsule the card.
- 9-pocket page - So you can protect and show-off your cards while storing them inside a folder.

There are also cardboard and plastic boxes that will conveniently fit a large collection efficiently.
