Birds, skulls, easter island statues, a mini stonehenge, dinosaurs, something abstract with twirls entwined like what sand looks like after it's struck by lightning, a mini guitar, a rubber ducky, a small island, fish..... many many many things! Let me know what you end up making!

over the years I've abstracted the human form over & over , never exactly duplicating myself . the suggestions in the other answers are all very good also . have you tried different clays ? depending on what you decide you enjoy sculpting the density & grog in different clays can help you acheive your goals . i have always preferred terra-cott say to porcelin for the type of work i prefer to do . i mostly work in a non-objective direction , just nice lines . the difference between abstract , which is taking something were familiar with , human form , animals , cars etc . & non-objective being design from your own creativity (the mind) that pleases the eye , but not drawn from a commonly see object . i hope i've given you a different look at sculpture . see my site popclt.com ta/ta, tp.mullin

Look at the faces on coins and bills, at the logos used on food packaging and in advertising, ... convert them to 3D
