Well, you don't really "install" songs to an ipod. You download them from iTunes. iPods don't come with the iTunes disc anymore because you can download the newest iTunes for free from the apple site.

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Once you have iTunes all installed click on the iTunes store link and purchase all the music that you want. Or if you want to upload CD's into your library just insert the CD and iTunes will automatically read it and ask you if you want those songs imported into your library.

After you have all the music you want in your library just hook your iPod up using the U.S.B. cable that comes with the nano and go to file>sync iPod Nano

Then your done!

You simply need to go to iTunes, or go to the Apple web page, and get yourself an account for your iPod.

From there, you can load your CDs, and you attach that white iPod cord to both the coputer and the iPod. there is a area that tells you how to down load your music on it. Everything is ont he iTunes account ( so start by going to the Apple web page)

Try connecting the USB to the ipod and then to the comp see if it auto installs and install itunes so you can upload your songs first

Go to Ares.com and click search. search an artist, then wait for it to download. click on transfers to see if it's done. once you have that finished, go to itunes and plug in your iPod to the USB cord and it should'nt take too long to put them on.

o and it's free from Ares but you get a bill every month.
