I'm done with HP and Dell. They both suck. Takes forever to actually talk to someone. If you've had positive experiences with another brand, let me know. That will be decide my next purchase. But I HATE HP and Dell. I'd buy an Apple IIe before I'd buy either one of them.

I've actually had positive experiences with dell... though this is possibly because i forego talking to cust reps on the phone. I've always gotten my support from their online chat and it's always been fast and i get replacement parts shipped to me overnight.

I had a similar experience with Dell. Their computers are great, but I don't want anything to do with their customer service dept.

....you dont even wanna know my expierience with compaq/hp. Read my question i just posted that will explain it all, and the worst part they dont even speak english!! "oh its not our fault if your battery is defective and we wont replace it cause ur not under warranty" Never again will i buy a machine from their company. The only one i hear you can trust now is gateway, or build your own! Just sucks cause you cant build your own notebook.

I am Dell certified so I just go to their website and login for warrany service.
