Scene:
The guys wear: tight chick pants, tight band shirts, T.U.K. shoes sometimes, rite-aid slip-on shoes, sometimes eyeliner, they have black or bleach blonde hair, and bangs in their face
The girls wear: tapered pants, bright shirts, many layers of shirts, a lot of pearls, a lot of eyeliner, bright eyeshadow, T.U.K. shoes, ballet flats, mostly rite-aid slip-ons vans slip ons, little girl hair clips, long choppy bleach blonde hair, short black and bleach blonde hair, both with bangs that are in their face
and most often they dye and cut their own hair
They listen to the best music that they LIKE for real. They live for shows, local or not it doesn't matter they like the music they'll be there. And they love to mosh so be careful. They make up words and call everyone kid, they are in love with dinosaurs, robots, and ninjas, oh and myspace. They use cool words like rad. They are often vegetarian or vegan.
In their myspace pictures you can never see there face and their pictures are always photoshopped
EMO:
a) short for the term emotional...in a musical sense
b) music derived in the 80's... with such bands as Rites of Spring, Texas is the Reason, and more.
c) can be used to describe a person who listens to emo, can relate to most of it and then cry because they can relate to it and not just because its emo.

Emo: Short for 'Emotional Hardcore' (genre of music). Introverted, thrift-store fashion. Dyed b lack hair. Music is usually acoustic, subdued, or aching screaming that borders of crying. True members of the counter-culture. Care about LOVE and angest, and social issues. Girl pants. Tight black band T-shirts. Smokers. Have some actual emotional 'problems', and seriously just hanging out in an environment that accepts them, and they can thrive in.
Scene: Preppy kids pretending to be in the counter-culture.--They're just following the scene (hence their name), you know, doing what's 'cool'. They have dyed black hair, but usually with bright neon colors added to it. Their fashion is very similar to that of the Emo subculture, but their jeans, for example, don't cost $3 from Good Will, bur more like $50 from Hot Topic. They form into cliques and gossip and don't generally care about ANYTHING outside of their circle of friends and few local bands.
Emo person would say: "This world is so broken. My soul is bleeding, it's so black. The children, I want to save the starving children.... Happy is a yuppie word."
Scene Kid would say: Like, oh my God! Yeah, I know, can you believe he slept with her? *cackle cackle*. Ohhh, Panic! at the Disco! You're so hottt and emo!!! My white upper middle class life is so bad, i'm so scorned!
Well, maybe you get the idea.

Oh my god. Scene? There's ANOTHER one besides Emo? Damn, every day I get closer to 30 I understand just a little less of what the hell teenagers are talking about. I didn't know it was a biological phenomenon.

Don't listen to the people who say that emos are depressed cutters. Emo is very emotional or sensitive and sometimes that leads to depression, but not ALL of the time. Scene is about the clothes and music

Scene is about music and clothing.
Emo means you're always depressed, and most likely cut.
