The French settled with less hostile natives, while the British settled near the Iroquois. The French were more open with the Native Americans, and lived closely with them. then again their were very few French compared to the British. The Native Americans saw the French in small numbers, that only traded, and did not need that much land. The British wanted more land, and more kept coming over from England.
