I tried EVERYTHING for self labor induction and still had to be induced. My membranes were swept at 39 weeks, I bled for 2 days, had a few episodes of contractions, and still ended up getting induced at 40weeks 3days (only because I called my doctor crying that I just couldn't take it anymore). My induction went great and my son is now 3 weeks old. No matter what effect membrane sweeping had, labor is technically soon. The most you could wait is a week and a half before they would take the baby anyways.

if you mean bleeding like if you would have your period. then no that's not normal. you should spot and it would be like pink and mucus and some blood. but that would be like after like with in a hour or so. i had mine done 3 times and still no labor. some it works other it don't. alot of people kept telling me your be in labor with in 24 hours nothing. i went into labor and never knew i was until i called to ask a question. since i was going on 2 weeks over due. with my second kid.

yeah, I was 40 weeks and 5 days with my first when they did that. I was bleeding until about 9pm that night. but I still had to be induced. Try nipple stimulation, that'll help get some contractions going!
Good luck
