i loved it but they left out the real history it was not 1 million men it was 6000 and they made persians look "evil" and they turned alll sparta soilders in to STR8 MEN which is complety opposite
In Sparta (a Greek city-state) boys were taken from their mothers at age seven to live with other boys and begin their military training. At age 12 they were paired with an older single man (22-25 years old) who became their teacher, mentor and lover. The problem the Spartans had was when it came time for men to be married they didn't want to leave their male partners.
To make it easier for her husband to have sex with her on their wedding night the bride would shave her head and wear the clothes of a young boy. Her husband would leave his male lover, come to be with his wife, and then return to his male lover. Some men only took a couple of days before they moved in with their wife, but others took years or never made the transition to normal sexual relations.
The ancient Greeks were more familiar with long term homosexual relationships than we are today. So the argument that things have changed, and homosexuality as it exists today is a new thing, has no historical basis in fact.
Homosexuality has always existed in all cultures throughout time. Homosexuality was a normal and accepted practice in Greek culture for hundreds of years. If God was waiting until there was a culture that accepted homosexuality before revealing that homsexuality was acceptable, ancient Greece was the time and place to do it.
here's some paintings that has been found all over sparta and greechttp://www.geocities.com/ardelyan/homo.htm

I don't think it will be the greatest, but it will be quite an experience. I'm seeing it tomorrow at the IMAX, and I don't think it's a movie that should wait for DVD. The visuals alone deserve the theatre experience.

People do not care about those days. Future movies do better. Star Wars sold the most.

hey, It was not 6000, learn your history. The legend itself states a million or 2, but people have figured out that the land and water supply wouldnt have been enough, and, including other factors, have deduced that it was from 100,000 to 250,000, most likely.
