We have 3 children. Two are mine, and one is from a prior relationship, but I am all she knows as a father.

It's up to you, can you trust her?
If not then I say get the divorce.
Now having been in your place after I found out wife cheated, I nearly got a divorce, and after a wail and long conversations with marriage counselor we wrote up a separation agreement that lasted 5 months then we got back together, but I would make it known that CHEATING in never going to happen, and write a contract to that affect saying if she cheats again she looses all claim to marital property! and have it notarized!
Then tell her how much you got hurt and if she does it again you finished all to gether,. Tell her theres no more flirting ever,
And if a guy starts she has to inform the man she married and not avalible and walk away!
I took my wife back and am not sorry for any thing I have with her today, but it hurt like hell for years after when I thought of it, and shes got to acknowledge what she did ,and what she did to your marriage and yourself as well and tell her theres no quick fix here and she going to have to EARN your faith back as well as trust!

Also the man can NEVER be a part of her life, no contacts no emails, no smoke signals, no NOTHING, and if she has a job, where he works then she has to put in notice immediately!
Good Luck your going to need it.
I would never travel down the road your going through again EVER!

I did exactly what you said. My wife had an affair ten years ago. She left me for awhile, continued her affair and actually asked me for a divorce. He relationship with the new guy fell apart fast, and yes I took her back. We had two young boys. It hurt like hell, and I wanted revenge in the worst way because I wanted to show her what it felt like...but didn't. We are happy now, on our 20th anniversary this year, and our relationship is strong again. Good luck!

i couldn't do it, my wife and i have 3 children together, and if she would do that to me and the kids just for 2 minutes of satisfaction, there would be no amount of apologies in the world. Once a cheater always a cheater.

Yes, if (like you said) she proved she was trustworthy and sorry. If you can forgive what has happened, why not give it another shot. You loved the woman for her great qualities in the first place. And everyone makes mistakes, but they should only be forgiven if they never happen again. As my mother always said....Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me. So good luck to you, and be sure that you are able to trust her again.

of course if there is proof of remorse, by her behavior and actions, than yes u should give her this chance. everyone has made mistakes, and everyone deserves another chance. but know that it is going to take u awhile to get past this, and feel yourself again within the marriage. but i do believe that absolutely anything broken can be repaired, and fixed, providing both parties want the same thing. good luck

That is the mother of your children. The greatest gift a man can give his children is to love their mother.

If not, then just buy them video games.
