I am wondering if anyone thinks its worth fixing up one of these cars. I have 142000 km on the engine. I was stuck in a snow drift last week and when I was reving up the engine the snow had black in it from the muffler, need to know the cause??

i own a repair shop, and this was just a normal soot problem with it,the real and only reason you noticed it was because it was in the snow and it showed up good, and as far you wanting to fix it up,why not,i see all kinds of cars getting fixed up all the time ,even 4 door cavaliers are being fixed to look cool,so yes its yours and if you want to fix it up go right ahead,id fix it so that it was what i wanted it to be,those were actually good cars, and didn't give much problems to start with,so fix it up its going to be what you want it to be ,and don't don't worry about what other people say, they,ll be a lot of people who will like it,good luck,i hope this helps.

This is normal because the fossil fuel you are burning creates carbon when exhausted from your car and thus black deposits in the snow! Does it smoke while idling or when you take off? If so your piston rings are bad or your cylinder is scared and too much work and money required to fix it! Never run a car without a air filter! Also no matter what anyone says never put regular tap water in your radiator or battery because it has lime and rust deposits in it and it will stick to your thermostat and with the first cold snap it will stick shut and your engine will over heat and it also kills a battery. Always use distiled water only! See ya!

GET RID OF IT!!! lol..

sorry for laughing, but the car you have may be the worse car ever produced, that is still on the road at all..

i used to work at a car dealership for a few years, and i cant tell you how many people came in with these cars.. i think we saw or heard about one just about every week, no joke..

sry again for laughing, but you really dont want to get into anything with this vehicle.. it will turn into one of those awful one-sided relationships where you just keep giving and giving, and never get anything in return

That's normal, just some carbon soot buildup from you dumping fuel into the engine with the accelerator in the process of getting out of there.

No worries, don't get stuck again lol
