I always thought that Y!A wanted us to go to all the categories. How will someone who goes through all the categories be a top contributor. Ive answered questions in several different cateogries. I'm usually here, in P&S, but I'm also in random places like Dental.
And it looks like some categories won't have a top contributor. Can you imagine someone being a top contributor in Printers, lol.

Yeah I know that bites. You should be a top contributor when you get over so many points no matter what category it was in.

I spent Christmas helping tons of people that didn't know how to work their ipods and mp3 players. It was non stop asking for 6 weeks after. I was so busy helping people on here i should have gotten paid for my help. So i urned mine.

No, because I don't like to stand out. Now I've got a big orange block under my name. Makes me want to contribute less...
There should be an option of turning it off for those who don't want it. Or have it on our profile instead of under our names.

I am kinda neutral about it. To me it is a lot more clutter on my profile page. But, I like being able to click on my friends more quickly.
