Friction causes the ball to curve. A curved approach to the pin set is the best angle to get more pin movement (better chance to knock the pins down).

frictin causes 2 forces to rub together and causing it to stop slowly as it rubs. it helps in bowling by helping it go fast enough but not to fast it also helps by moving in the right direction. if the ball went to fast there would be no point
