There is this very goodlooking, athletic guy i know; and he told me that aside from pursuing athletic aspirations, he also wants to be a writer. So I was very impressed the day he 'wrote' me a poem about how he is very self concious although he portrays a macho exterior. I read the poem and thought, "Wow" The day he gave me the poem I went home and searched the name of the poem on google, just to see. I figured this poem was too good to be true. Sure enough, it came up. Invictus-Hedly. Why do you think that he would copy a poem and call it his own?

Awww...he was tryin to impress you. Not that a lie is the best way. You are smarter than he gave you credit for! Somehow you should let him know...maybe not. I don't know! You know what, tell him you love poetry, and his was wonderful. Then give him a copy of Invictus-Hedly's works. I say this only because if you are the first he's tried this on, you should be the last, because plagurism (calling someone's else's stuff yours) is illegal. Really illegal. If he did it in college, he'd be screwed. FYI- hopefully he does want to be a writer and was scared to give you his works. Otherwise, it was a line and he's a dog.

well....... apart from the fact that he ripped off the poem, maybe he felt the poem expressed his feelings in a way he was not able to yet.
just cause he wants to be a writer, does not meen that he is Lord Byron straight away.
Im sure even Byron wrote some rubbish in his early days.
take it from the point of view that he TRIED!
sure, he may not have got it right this time, but atleast he is having a go and trying to get what he feels across to you.

because he wants to impress you. now you can take this either way you want. you can be touched that he thought enough of you to want to give you a poem he thinks you would like or you take this as a sign that he will lie to you in the future. i am an optimist so i would go with the first one

because he likes u and he is trying to impress u and he thought that being an athletic jock would not impress you, that you are more than that. i think it was sweet i mean u know guys they do the stupidest things to try to impress us but its the thought that counts. don't turn your back on him just yet. give him a chance he seems very sincere.

i don't know y he cheated u maybe he tried to please u?it's not honest to boost or lie if not his poem,u try to advise him n show him where u got the poem n see his response.if he says sorry u still can give him chance,but if he denies then u can scold him of his honesty.ask him changing his bad habit.

I'm not sure why you're desperate about this, but it seems to me that he's either trying to impress you, or he didn't mean it was from himself, but it showed who he was and wanted to share it with you.
