Unless you have a particular health reason for not taking iron, you should take the ones with iron. However, some pregnant women get an upset stomach from prenatal vitamins, which can be caused by the iron in it. Ask your doctor if you are not sure.

The iron in them is better for you. But if you take some that have too much iron it can cause some serious constipation which (since you've been pregnant before) you know that's already a problem with pregnancies. There are some that you can get a prescription for or you can just buy the OTC ones at the pharmacy. That's what I did.

With iron. After I had my son, the pediatrician said to use iron fortified formula because it is so important for the brain. So I would think prenatal vitamins with iron would be beneficial even now early on.

With Iron definitely. Hopefully you don't get what happened to me, but my iron was low so I had to take an extra iron pill 3 times a day and the side effects are not the most pleasing. Eat your green veggies.

I had low iron in my blood, which is necessary for the baby to develop good bone marrow and red blood cells in the womb. I had to take iron suppliments as well increase iron rich foods in my diet on the advice of my doctor.
You should ask your doctor, they do a blood test for this, well ast least for me around 3 or 4 months in.

Unless there are health reasons against it, the ones with iron are better. I took them when I was pregnant with my daughter and could not take them when I was pregnant with my son. They both turned out fine so I wouldn't stress over it.
Good luck :-)

With iron...your blood volume increases almost 50 % while you are pregnant...you need these stores to make more blood and to give your baby the nutrition it needs...you do NOT want to become anemic...
