People that aren't my friends don't know the real me and they say that I'm really quiet, but if they got to know me I'm really not.

Its up to them to get to know you. Being shy is a personality trait.

If you are shy, theres nothing wrong with that. The way I see it though, because you are making the other person work harder at getting to know you, you are wasting a lot of time. Just open up to people and speak your mind. The worse that can happen is that the other person(s) disagree with you and dont like your opinion....at which point, you tell extend your middle finger and tell them to go screw

well that was a short question. shy or something? OH!!! sorry. :) so? do you realize that you will know these people for a couple years, and never see them again? does it really matter what others think of you? get a Bible and read. You'll overcome, don't worry.

You need to get out of your comfort zone and make yourself do things like public speaking, theater, etc. I did this in high school and it helped me shed the shy syndrome.

then SHOW them that u r confident, and talkative, show them the REAL U. be more social, and together with people u know, hang around them, and sooner or later they'll notice you. just be YOURSELF , THE REAL U.

let them say what they want, you can't change their thinking' unless you start talking.

If you don't talk = you are quiet, too bad haha
