it is probably one of the byproducts of combustion - it's called water vapor - and when you first start your engine, the catalytic converter is not yet hot enough to vaporize the water and droplets come out -

NOW - if you smell gas coming our your exhaust
your carburetor is running rich - and a mechanic needs to adjust it $o you do not $pend more monie$ than you want to make that puppy run

best of luck

Are you sure it is gas and not water/moisture? If it is gas your car is running rich and the catalytic converters aren't doing there job. Most likely your O2 sensor are bad and have probably ruined your catalytic converters. Have a mechanic check the vehicle to verify the diagnosis.

It's probably not gasoline, but water instead.

If it truly is gasoline, you have a very bad flooding problem. Either the choke is not cutting off, or a cylinder is not firing. I have built hot rods since 1985 and dealt with nearly every problem possible - but I have never seen this on any vehicle.

If it is really gas then you have a faulty Cat converter. That is what it is suppose to do. Burn the Hydrocarbons or unburned fuel to limit emission.

It's probably not gas but rather condensation from the engine.

It means turn it off, and have it towed to your mechanic and fixed before you have a vehicle fire.
