It depends on how you look at it.

At the moment, there is no way that a human could time travel, even if it was only a few seconds. There is the whole 'wormhole' theory, but no human could fit inside a wormhole. (Unless, or course, somebody invented a shrinking machine AND found a way to harness wormholes)

However, technology is advancing very quickly. A hundred years ago, nobody would have imagined a day when you could type onto a piece of plastic and the words would appear all over the world...who knows, maybe in a few decades, time travel will be something a kidnergartner could do. :)

Back to the Future is, so far, impossible. In the future when space travel is far more advanced, you can merely fast forward time. According to Einstein when you travel at super speeds the time inside your spaceship or whatever will be greatly slowed down.

It could be if you came from the future and were going back. But, this still really isnt possible because in theory, you can only travel forward in time. either way, we cant do it now anyway

Kip Thorne of Caltech has ideas for time travel involving 1 wormholes, but you can only go back or forward to the other time machine which is in one place/time.

You would have to first go into the past.
The past doesn't exist anymore.
There is no way for you to go back to the future

Doubtful.

You can see the FUTURE only in terms of TODAY, not in terms of TOMORROW as we know it.

YOu can WORM HOLE across space to TODAY, which is TOMRROW in 5 trillion years from EARTH, but you can't see TOMORROW there TODAY.

A paradox.

For example.

We see Alpha Centuri on EARTH TODAY as it was 4 years ago. Via a worm hole we can see it TODAY on ALPHA CENTURI time, but that is 4 years away on EARTH TIME

WE can't see Alpha Centuri TOMMOROW on ALPHA CENTURI time until TOMORROW actually comes in WORM HOLE time.

FUTURE is RELATAVISTIC under EINSTEINIAN terms.

You can't see EARTH's FUTURE only ALPHA CENTURI'S FUTURE by worm hole effect.

If Alpha Centauri vanishes 10 seconds AFTER yu get there, youcan go back to EARTH and tell them WHAT DATE in 4 years it will vanish. BUT you can't VISIT EARTH 4 years in the future and say ways happens there.

actually it couldn't
when your dealing with time travel, you would need to go into something called a worm hole
they are tiny and a car wouldn't fit through it
this is just a very crude explanation, but actually there are a lot of reasons

Its definitely possible, except for the time travelling of course.... that part was what we scientists call "make believe".
