You could do something on alternative energy such as windmills. Here's a good piece of information for you.
If all the reservations in the plains area had a wind field it would make up 1/2 of the energy for the entire U.S. This is a huge percent. And windmill energy is much better for the environment. Look at what damn energy does, it stops fish breeding such as salmon spawning. You can google (Klamath water crisis for more info. on damn affects). I'm sure you can find lots of info. on this topic. You can even have a mini. windmill. and/or a mini damn.

Take a raw potato and a (preferably) paper straw..hold potato in one hand and straw in the other and throw the straw thru the potato. It might take a little practice but it does work. I believe it is one of the concentrated efforts of kung fu.

what are you doing it on is there a certain type of subject of science you have to do like medical science earth science
how about doing a project on nuclear power plant
or solar energy

You could possibly try fuel cell technology. Always a great idea to relate your project to the real world, trust me, I did science projects for 9 yrs.
look at http://thinkgeek.com for their fuel cell models...and possibly build your own.
