I had a suicidal hamster once. It escaped and I found it in the gas oven. Second time it got out of cage I searched for it for days. I eventually found it, he had and jumped from shelves that cage was on into a vase of water.

Yup, some can be,,
I have had cages with 3 or so of the fuzzy little beasties before, and by morning the head count was much less.
This usually occurs most often with males that were not raised together,
Or if a recent addition is added.

Never ever ever ever keep hamsters in the same cage!!! They're extremely territorial and will kill each other. Only dwarf hamsters are social enough to live together, but the hamsters you'll find at most pet stores, the bigger ones, can't be kept together. Please please separate them! Good luck!

All Syrian/golden hamsters are-apart from mothers with young babies they will all kill a cage mate very quickly.

im not sure about hamsters but my guinie pig jumped of the top of a bunk bed once. it survived but you shud of heard the thud. twas hillariouse.

my hamster killed itself by climbing on top of the cage and falling on its food dish..

They will eat each other if kept in groups, so I guess you could call them cannibals!

Probably I know they are into insest I had to seperate mommy and male offspring.
