no here's the deal, i download like hell -i mean i keep my PC on for months downloading- so could this mean that i have to change my network card (i have a 1MB DSL), or is there something else wrong ?

Well you well learn grasshopper to not be cheap. You need something like Norton's Anti-Virus running in the background to keep viruses from getting on.

You got the FREE spyware that removes the infection AFTER it gets on. That is like saying you have security in your house in case someone breaks in, they will get caught. With Norton's, you have security at the front gate, BEFORE they can get in your house. Understand. I used to be cheap and had constant problems with viruses and trojan horses and such. I was constantly doing recoveries. Now with Norton's not one problem in the last 6 months. Now nothing is 100% effective, but close enough.

So don't download the porn sites, they have a lots of viruses tagged. And do not download email attachments that you are not familiar with. With Norton's, it has not downloaded attachments cuz it said they contained viruses. Works for me.

if you download alot you are probably about to max out your memory. either you need to upgrade your memory or save all your files to disk and delete them from your system. i don't know if alot of people know this, but e machines have 4 memory ports unlike other computers which have only 2, that's why i use an e machine. your computer will only hold so much info. another good suggestion would be to get an external hard drive and save most of your downloaded files to it so your PC will keep running fast and you can still have alot of storage space. they make storage devices that rank in the Tera bites now which is like a thousand times bigger then gigs. also, if you do this , after you save all your info, reboot your system and it will be like new again to get you off to a good clean start. peace brother, and good luck.
