Probably the starter but could also be a loose connection in the wiring to the starter.

Compared to the power required to activate the starter, the lights coming on mean almost nothing. Since you just had the battery and alternator replaced, you either have some bad luck or may have a drain.
You can quickly eliminate the starter as a possibility if you can jump the vehicle from another one. If it starts, it's obviously not the starter.
Electrical drains can be caused by many things including shorts in the wiring. A qualified mechanic can tell you within a few moments if you have a drain.

First, with the engine NOT running, dis- connect the battery cables and check for corrosion on cable conn ends or on the battery posts ,or top of battery. I've seen 10 volt draws across the top of the battery. Baking soda and water are great for cleaning batteries.
Cars with computers should not be run with a cable dis-connected!

start the car and then very carfully take off the battery cables one at a time hot that is the + sign onthe battery first you may need to get someone to rev it up a little but if it is the alternator it will die or you could go by a parts store and most of them will check out both with a testor and they don't charge for this

If the lights are still lighting up then it sounds like the starter but it can also have something to do with your electrical wiring in your car.

Usually, if it is the starter, it will make a clicking noise. Did you have it jumped start and it start up?? If so, it is probably the alternator. you can go to your local Auto Zone, Advance, or NAPA auto parts store if you have one around, and they will check it out for you.

Sounds like the Park switch on the transmission. Try it in neutral, see if it will start in neutral.
That must be engaged before the "start" will take place.

It sounds as if you need to replace your starter. It could also have something to do with the fuel not making it to the engine. Have the fuel pump checked and check your fuel filter.

also check your solenoid switch, that may be the problem, go by your nearest autozone and have it tested out, and if the solenoid switch is still good then have them check the starter... they should be able to tell you whats wrong real quick
