Mooncat: First aired on April 9,1981. It's original title was called "Get Up and Go!" Beryl Reid did co-present it (or was probally a regular guest on it). It changed it's name to Mooncat in June 1984 and stared Stephen Boxer (previously thought to be Raplph McTell). The programme lasted untill September 26, 1985, where the following week it was replaced by "Puddle Lane". Mooncat then became Mooncat and Co.

think I was just too young but i found this about it so you haven't imagined it!

GET UP & GO! (ITV)
It ran from 1981 to 1983, a grand total of 89 programmes - The programmes starred Beryl Reid (and were fondly remembered in her autobiography “So Much Love”), Stephen Boxer and the anarchic puppet Mooncat. It was little wonder that Mooncat was so manic – the puppeteer was David Claridge, who developed the character of Roland Rat while he was working on this series.

MOONCAT & CO (ITV)
A spin-off from Get Up and Go! – with Stephen Boxer, but without Beryl Reid, who was working on Smiley’s People, and David Claridge, who was creating headlines with Roland Rat. Another puppeteer took over the role of Mooncat and the show ran for 33 episodes from 1983 to 1984.

Debuting April 9, 1981, on Britain's Yorkshire Television, Get Up and Go provided a curious footnote to the career of eminent actress Beryl Reid, who served as erstwhile host. Intended to introduce youngsters to the intricacies of British politics, the series scored best on its pure-entertainment content, as personified by a zany puppet named Mooncat. Ultimately, both Beryl Reid and the educational angle were weeded out, and the series was retitled Mooncat in 1984
