I'm sure it is. We are not used to these high prices and we know that we won't get relief anytime soon. But the USA is way to dependent on oil. Only recently has the country been exploring alternate fuels. European countries pay much more that we do, but their transportation systems are much better that what we have. Brazil uses ethanol and pay very little for it. The problem is that fossil fuels will end, Mexico just announced that they might only have 15 to 20 years more of oil to dig out. So yes, it will eventually kill middle and low income people if the country doesn't move to other types of fuels.

Gas prices are impacting every one...gas prices are relevant to this whole infrastructure....the trick is gonna be finding a price that will incourage alternatives, influence frivolous waisting, and satisfy the oil moguls egotistical power struggle between the users, producers, and the industry's that supply it.

There is a reason an oil influential individual is now president of the USA....that is not an accident or coincidence...

We are on the brink of 'cultural' adaptations...and this is just the beginning of the copitulations befor us.
