People are constantly using their brains. The answer is until death.

The year in which one became an alcoholic or addict. If that was at a young age, that is the age his/her brain remains--at least until after they have been recovering for some period of time.

People who keep active into old age, still learn new things every day. They know of current events, may have taken some adult education courses, read the latest books, etc. Because of that I don't think that the human brain stops developing until one stops using his or hers.

When they start putting things into their body that does not belong. Poison. Alcohol. Too many pills. The truth is never. My father used to say, you learn something new every day. My grand children are tiny Einsteins.
