In The state of Missouri you can legally just move out of your parents' house. I ran away from my mom when I was sixteen back in 1968 about six weeks before my 17th birthday and after I turned 17 I was legal. I suggest you call someone there (like a social worker) and see if it is still the same.
I would ask yourself some questions before you go any further too.
Are you a high school graduate?
Are you employed?
Do you know where you will go? Who will you stay with?
In retrospect ask your self if there is anything you can do to improve your living situation. This is a difficult time for everyone. Your independent "wings" are starting to flutter right? Parent's are going through their own feelings about how did their child get to be an adult so fast...they are more than likely protective...No matter what your situation is always remember there are two sides to everything. If you are legal try to leave with a certain amount of GRACE about it.
If there is any thing "BAD" going on,,,don't worry about anything just get out of there...

If they're molesting you or abusing you, you could call Child Protective Services. Then you risk that you will end up somewhere worse. If they're not molesting you, then take the other advice on here, and finish school and get a job. It's miserable to be underage and out on your own. Wait until you see how expensive it is to live -- do you know what rent costs are? What local jobs pay if you're only a high-school grad? How much that computer internet connection costs? And food? And cable? And clothing? If they're not molesting you, maybe you could learn some gratitude for all the things they pay for.

You would have to go and ge emancipated. But seeing as you are 17, and there is prolly nothing MAJOR enough for you to go through this at the age of 17, it will be thrown out. you're best bet is to just hold you tounge, get a job, save as muhc as you can and when you turn 18, have a small apt lined up so that you can move into, or make it so that when you turn 18, you go straight into the military.

legally, the only way, is with the writen consent of her guardian, who normally is the parents. You could join the military, which would be an incredibly smart move, but then you'd need their permission again. If you don't want to be a runaway, and I sure hope you don't, the only thing you can do is bite your toung and wait until you are older

Have another adult file a petition on your behalf to gain status as a legal adult (file for emancipation). Basically, divorce your parents. It can be done by yourself, but it is extremely hard and usually denied unless you have an adult verifying that you are responsible enough and have the means to care for yourself.
