think so far the Iraq war is approaching 117 Billion a year.

TANF (welfare) cost about 18 billion.

The guy below has some good numbers, but remember, the Iraq war is not being payed for with the defense budget. It sreally hard to tell excactly what he is really spend because unitl the dems took control congress was not really asking many questions about where the money was going.

Bush does not spend anything, the United States writes the checks. As much as I dislike Bush and his methods of killing industry in the U.S. all he does is write a budget and congress goes through it and make changes until congress and Bush will sign it.

dont know about welfare but last year the bastard wasted 400 billion dollars of tax payers money on killing american kids and more importantly foreign innocent poor and economically disadvantaged people , that money could have stopped all starvation in the world and given lots of kids an education but i guess you americans dont want that now do you? youd rather bombfar off countries and export your flavour of democrocapitalism to cultures and societies that do not want it!! if you dont want another 9/11 get into the streets and depose your system of governance as well as your current rulers or else you will all suffer horribly as the people you oppress suffer!!!!
