one fact to show it did happen is the laser reflectors that the Apollo astronauts put there which are still reflecting lasers back to earth to measure the fluctuations in the lunar surface and it also helped in understand that the moon is slowly moving away the earth.
There is no real evidence to show it didn't happen.
very good link.

Sean, get this straight and don't be foolish about it any more, okay? The basic technology required for a manned flight to the moon was developed in Germany in the late 1930s through the mid 1940s. This technology needed a lot of refinement to make a safe manned flight a reality.
We worked on that technology through the 1950s and 60s, and made the first manned moon flight in 1969. It all fits together, and if you read all the history and don't let the wackos lie to you, it will be impossible for you to continue to be fooled into believing that the moon missions did not take place.
The American people were much better educated and more intelligent in the 1960s and 70s than they are now, and it would never have occurred to NASA engineers and managers that 35 years later a bunch of ignorant dolts with nothing to do would come up with a stupid conspiracy theory stating that the moon landings were faked.
If that had occurred to them, I suspect the engineers would have gone to the trouble to create a larger and more visible object of proof, to compensate for the decline in the quality of the American mind and its education that occurred during and after the Reagan presidency.
But there is a real physical proof available. The astronauts who landed on the moon left behind reflectors that are used every day by astronomers to measure the irregularities of the moon's orbit. This is done by bouncing laser beams off reflectors at known locations that were left by the astronauts. Ask your science teacher for information about these experiments. You can arrange to see this done with your own eyes.
Let me put the question to you this way: If you think the moon landings were faked, when did they become "fake?" When did the idea become popular that NASA had invented the idea of an imaginary moon mission and created a huge technological empire to fool people? When was all this fakery done? In the 60s? 70s? 80s?
And why? What was the point? And how did they fool all the people that reported the news, operated the machinery, built the moon rockets, and watched them take off and land?
Do you realize that one American in 500 was a part of the Apollo program? Millions of them are still alive. Are they fooling you? Why? If you go out to a football game, look around you. In the stadium there are people who worked on the Apollo program.
Ask around. You are surrounded by people who know for sure that American astronauts stood on the moon more than 35 years ago.

mankind has done a lot of remarkable things, and most of them weren't questioned has much, so why now. Is this debate still gaining ground.
I would only say, that I'm very dubious of the "original" film footage of the craft leaving the moons surface.
In the "ORIGINAL" footage, you could clearly make out a shadow, of what a mans shadow would look like. was this a camera man
The craft boosted of the surface blasting a fare power.
Yet the camera panned up following the craft??
That seems a bit odd?
Another issue, when one of the astronauts stepped of the craft, and then when he was walking around, photos i have seen make it look like different boots are being worn, that is taking into consideration any moon dust??
Maybe they did get there, lest not forget the many brave souls who have lost their precious lives to the space venture.
But there's a niggle here a scratch that cant be reached.
The only proof is going to come from landing within a few hundred metres of the original site and finding all the equipment left behind.. who knows, maybe they left some poor camera man behind ???
its an interesting subject, there was also a great deal at stake at that time. superpowers arms race ect.
Just lets be thankfull for our freedom now in being able to discuss this matter so freely.

Hi Sean,
I see no evidence of a "fake"
OK the computing power & comms. in '69 was probably inferior to this system we use now, but most PC's etc, would not really be around if it was not for vast research by NASA and the sub-contractors. Chip tech & all that.
On the proof side, I have used a biggish telescope that shows with my own eyes the reflectors, laser and suchlike on the Sea of Tranquility, and a glimmer of the kit left behind.
It all must be man-made, and hand delivered, as apart from some weird as yet not proven alien species, why go there?
It is a ball of interesting pumice., but "only" 239,000 miles away or so.
I have photos,. taken from a nearby observatory, of metalwork left behind (moon garbage - typical USA, sound recordings, omni-directional from our moon, albeit going blarp-blim-bing-bind-peep.
And met Mike Collins, at a bit of a lecture tour thing, who orbited the item when the first lads went down to the surface.
He can describe every detail of what happened, so "mind memory" implants would have been far more tricky, if not impossible in that recent era.
Moon - here we come again in a few years !
Bob.

There are tons of sites on the net both pro and con regarding this subject. Personally, I think the sites debunking the conspiracy theory tend to sound much more credible if for no other reason than that they're very well-written, cite sources, and speak in a very reasonable tone, whereas the conspiracy sites tend to be sensationalist and refer to facts but often don't direct you to them for your own efforts in verifiying their truth.
Every 'anomaly' mentioned by the naysayers has been addressed logically, and expertly by people who know far more about the subjects at hand than the alarmists do.
Besides all of this, I personally feel that the most damning evidence against the conspiracy theories is the sheer number of people whose silence must remain intact for such a thing to remain a secret to this day.
I entertained an open mind and looked into this issue myself a few years ago, and the result is that I overwhelmingly disbelieve the notion that the landings were staged. I feel that it is a discredit to our entire country and the geniuses behind project Apollo as well as to the brave astronauts themselves to believe that their monumental acheivement is a lie.

Lots of evidence that says it did happen; Not much (if any) indicating that it did NOT happen.
But proof...? Can you prove *anything* over the internet?
The only way to actually *prove* to *anyone* that it really happened is for that person to go to the 6 landing sites, and look for themselves. People want to point Hubble at the moon - WHY? If they faked the landings in the 70's, why would you trust the SAME organization to supply fuzzy, long-range, outside-of-resolution photos today????

There is no evidence it was faked and all the evidence in the world that it was real, starting with several hundred pounds of Moon rock in Houston.
