I am interested in modellling for magazines like Maxim, Stuff, FHM magazine. I am 5"2 with a very unique look and old school work ethic. Anyone know how I can get started?

First you have set up your portfolio (your best professional pictures) You can go to a professional to take your pictures is all you have to paid. after that is all up to your looks, pose and courage.
then you have to find a model agency, and bring your portfolio with you. If they ask for money, just leave. They just want to get the flesh out of you.
If they do like you they will call you or they probably make you wait until they feel like calling you. Don't just try one agency keep trying until you run out of them. If they do call go as natural as you can, don't put too much make up and don't over dress-up. Just be casual. Most important don't get intimidated.
I did some modeling it is fun and it isn't as simple as it seems.
Good Luck

Don't listen to those haters saying you're too short. For Maxim, you don't have to be tall. You're not doing runway here! Just very sexy and have a tight body. Try contacting the magazine or getting a hold of the agency who sets up models for those types of magazines. I'm sure they will appreciate your work ethic, plus you sound very dedicated, which is a great quality to have.
Good luck with everything.

Hey!
Wow, people like to talk crap!

Anyway, what you should do is get a friend or go to a photography place and ask them to take some photos of you. But, modelish ones.

Then, start sending them into magazine companies.
They usually have websites that have information, so, even if you just looked up magazine modeling info on google. You might just find something!

Well, not sure if I helped.
But, take care.
And people are jerks, so don't mind them!

Well i just recently started modeling about a week ago i found this ad in the newspaper and i thought it was fake but i went just to find out i made it and i took my portfolio pictures. so my advice to you is to look around for things like that be sure to read the fine print, and things like that if that doesn't work call around to different agencies. The little boy down the street did that and he is in the Tylenol commerical.

YOu should find a company to work for first. And just to clear things up: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE TALL TO BE A MODEL!!!!! That is a very old rumor that is NOT true. Don't listen to anyone who tells you that. If you have a good work ethic and are determined I think you will do fine.

I'm not sure if you can make it in the modeling business with your height. Perhaps you can try acting.
