I need to wirte a descriptive essay on a past experience. Can you give me any ideas of ''common'' past experiences?

I am writing about my job, working a nursing home wiht retarded children. I have 1 paragraph about the staff, kids, and environment, i just cant add descriptive words...help...?

Think of the best experience you have ever had and write about it.
Or the worst experience you have ever had..
If you do it that way, you won't have any problem finding the right words to use, because it will be an actual life experience.

You've been a member since Feb., right. Using Yahoo answers is an experience, right.
You didn't say how many words it has to be but have you asked and answered enough questions here to right an essay about it.????
Just an idea.
Suggestion - don't think about what your going to write about too much, just pick something you like or don't like and start writing.

yes, my lady.everyone in life must have had a day that has gone so bad for them they wished they had not woken up that day.so just go back to one of those and try to relive it as much as the impact it had on you.if not,then the other way round,a day you enjoyed so much,you didnt want to go to sleep.just be so generous in the use of accurate and beautiful words{descriptive} to let another person think it happened to them ie. be able to visualise your story through your powerful description.

if its an essay break it up write one opening paragraph like where it was etc. then a paragraph about the staf, then one about the kids you helped, then about what you learned and if you would ever do it again just desribe everything you remember like the way it made you feel the way they looked at you the way they treated you etc

I would say getting abused by your parents, not only will it get you a good grade, but lots of extra attention from teachers!
