Bridget, to begin with, act like you're the best friend you are. Best friends are supposed to be more intimate than they would to normal friends. My point is, you must tell her, and not keep this secret to yourself. But first, before telling her, you must make sure that your best friend has not set herself out to this particular boy. If she denies that she feels anything for this boy other than friendship (I'm guessing she's really gregarious,) then go tell her. If she does like the boy the way you do, then it'd be wiser to back down.
But then again, it all really depends on the boy. Who does he like?

I mean that well unless she likes him I don't see the problem. If she too likes him then I would just forget about him. Men come and go but true friends are forever!

well if she doesnt like him as a boyfriend then why would she care? shed want her friend to be happy and if being with you makes him happy then she shouldnt have a problem with it...i say talk to your bff and then go for it!

Shouldn't be an issue is she's not interested in him too. If she is, then both of you should stay away. Let her know how you feel and see how she reacts.

All you do is just tell her that you like the guy. If she wants to tell him let her. How is it goin' to hurt you? Whats it goin' to do to you? Get some guts and tell him yourself if you want to! Or if you want to keep it silent then keep it to yourself.
