More a clash of cultures than a clash of civilisations. Huntingtons theory suggests that East and West, Christianity and Islam are on a collision course. I agree this could happen.

But before we are all too quick to judge, Huntingdon said in an interview on October 21st 2001 - just after 9/11, Osama Bin Laden wants to turn it into a clash of civilisations - but its the goal of the U.S to prevent that from happening.

I think Huntingdon is right here. If we ALL dont step back, then there will be a clash of civilisations. Maybe Huntingdon's words should sound as a warning of things to come.
