join or read our "counting kicks" on our message center, its free to read but you have to register to post...there is a lot of information on the site about fetal growth, movement, labor and much more...

And yes the baby will slow its movements once it is getting closer to delivery time, even labor. However, by this time you should be seeing your doctor weekly and they are doing sono's to make sure everything is ok. So don't get to tensed up ...it is not good for you or the baby.

Yes, in fact they all stopped moving almost all together. It scared me so much each time.
And i knew after the first it was to be like that but it did not help my fears all the way.

Mother of 3 grown boys. I am a one birth from being a Doula. Attended/helped with 5. Almost all said they had little or no movement.

When I was pregnant with my son he wasn't that active in my tummy. There was a heartbeat, and probably movement that I didn't really notice, but like me tell ya now he's 6 years old and sleeps 12 hours a night and is more active then other kids his age and older. He's NOT ADD or anything like that.

I loves basketball, hockey, his drums, his cars and tv shows...he's an overall JOY!!!

My sons movement when I was in labor was the same as it was throughout my pregnancy.

My wife said he slowed down closer to delivery. I mean the kid is getting bigger so there is less room to move around. When he is smaller he can almost do sommersaults in her womb.

yes they usually do because your contractions are squeezing them so they ten to slow down a little...but be sure to ask the nurse or doc...if too little movement ...could be more serious...
