Kay as a teenager I find that reading books about mysterys or crimes and stuff is really intriguing because its what happens all around us and things like sterotypes n all that goin on is fun to read about .. I want to write my own book about something that keeps the reader intrigued to read ahead and keeps them wanting more. I want a book that in a way involves stereotyping n all that and then someone dies in like the middle or the end and it gets everybody shocked. Basicly i want the plot to be something that includes all these things. Ideas anyone?

You have the ideas ... Now start outlining a plot and doing character studies. Dont worry - the rest will fall into place. Read some other crime fiction books for ideas on how the plots are developed. Michael Connelly is one of the best. Then start listening to your heart - it will guide you. You might want to start by writing some short stories then selecting one or two that you think you can expand on. It takes a LOT of research to write a book and do it properly. If you have it available in your school or in a local community college, take classes on forensics and psychology of criminal and deviant behavior. Read the news for ideas. There are sure enough crimes in the papers every day. Write about what you know. Confide in some friends and ask them to be beta readers for you and read your work and tell you what they think. Also talk to your English teachers and tell them about your ambitions. Ask for help. Buy yourself a copy of Writers Market so you can start learning about the publishing business. Getting a book published is very hard work. I hear James Patterson got 61 rejections before he got a book published. I ve gotten my share of rejections too. Good luck.

I think you should have someone die because that always makes me want to read a book. And do some research to find some exotic and unheard words to make it interesting. Also have people in your story being locked up and murdered. Hope you like this advice!!!!!!!!!!
