Can anyone recommend a 3 day group package at Tahoe, that it wouldn't be too late to arrange now for August?

Yes. But it depends on your level of comfort. I ended up going to a wedding in north lake tahoe and all the places seemed to be booked. There is a campground with all nice facilities included just an easy walk from town and lake access as well. I am sure a nice cabin or something would have been fun, but overall i was happy with the campground
and enjoyed having campfires and chatting into the night. Just an idea.

Just not quite enough info. There are group campgrounds and there are large cabins that would house 10-15 people but you should be able to find something for august. Also you need to know what side of lake because it is huge.
