You really shouldn't take anything. Go and get some pregnancy vitamins. Eat healthy and keep your fluids up. And rest.

The only thing that can really hurt your baby if you have a cold or flu during pregnancy is fever. If it goes over 38.5 degrees celsius (or 101 F), you need to go see the doctor immediately.

Don't take anything. Go to your doctor and ask him for something if it gets really bad. Take some Tylenol - or any other safe 'headache' medicine for the fever and pain, but nothing else.

You can speak to your pharmacist if you like. I had a bad cold early in my pregnancy too, and the pharmacist gave me some herbal stuff that really worked. But even herbal remedies can have side-effects which can affect your baby, so don't buy just anything.

Keep in mind you're going to remain "stopped up" and feeling as if you have a cold for the next 9 months. :) If you can stand the symptoms and just want a little relief try just resting and eating some chicken noodle soup. The broth should help with the cold. Ask your doctor for a list of approved medications to take while you're pregnant. Every doctor is different.

Tylenol and Sudafed, hope spelled right, lol
I was told these you can take

Keep off your feet get plenty rest, fluides and if any concer cal you OB doctor.
Being pregnant you immune system is a lil off wack cause of the extra hormons and what knots going on so you'll feel cruddy.

I got sick alot during my 1st pregnancy and even now with my second (im 12 weeks) i feel twice as bad as my first, i hope feeling twice as bad means twins, lol.

It's really hard to say what you can take. For the cold you just have to basically have to let it get out of your system. You can also ask you family Dr., or a ob/gyn. They would have a better response to your answer.
I wish you the best of luck on your pregnancy.

The baby should be perfectly fine. He/she is very protected and takes advantage of your body when you are sick to protect itself. It can make you weaker so make sure your eating well and build your own immune system back up.

If you get sick again during your pregnancy make sure you drink plenty of water to keep you both hydrated. And only take meds your doctor allows.
