Well then, you'll definitely want to try out some Portishead, specifically their "Dummy" (my pick: "Pedestal") and "Portishead" (my pick: "Undenied") albums. You'll also want to try some stuff by DJ Shadow, particularly from his "Endtroducing..." album. Some notable tracks:

"Building Steam With A Grain of Salt"
"Changeling/Transmission"
"What Does Your Soul Look Like (Part 4)"
"Midnight In A Perfect World" (my pick)

And according to Rhapsody, these artists in the Trip-Hop category might interest you:

Thievery Corporation
Massive Attack
Frou Frou
Goldfrapp
Air
Bjork (I especially liked her song "Venus As A Boy")
Everything But The Girl
Medeski, Martin and Wood

p.s. - If you think you might like other kinds of alternative or "ambient" hip hop, you might also wanna check out some stuff from Fat Jon (aka - Fat Jon The Ample Soul Physician, member/producer of Five Deez and one of the main contributors to the "Samurai Champloo" soundtracks; has also been featured on the Adult Swim bumps). Notable (more ambient) tracks:

"14 Years" (Album: Humanoid Erotica)
"Dreamers" (Album: Lightweight Heavy)
"Darkness" (Album: Afterthought)

Hope this helps. :)
