About how many inches do you grow during your growth spurt?

Just wondering how many inches an average person grows between the time they start their growth spurt untill the time they stop growing. I know it's different for everyone, i was just wondering if anyone knows what the average is.

I knw someone who did six inches over the summer! It was like, "What the...?"

I shot up 7 inches one summer
if you know your height at age two double it and that is pretty close to your adult height
